Press release: Evanthia marks its 10th anniversary milestone
Evanthia, the breeding company from the Dutch Westland region, is thrilled to announce a momentous occasion – its 10th anniversary on 1 October 2023. Over the past decade Evanthia has consistently demonstrated its commitment in making the world greening, with an ever growing and evolving product range, versatility and flexibility to keep up with trends and respond to change, with an aim for sustainability and outstanding service by its dedicated team.
Since its founding in 2013, Evanthia has been focusing entirely on the breeding of cut flowers, pot and bedding plants, propagation of tropical plants and seed optimisation. What started as a small venture with a strong vision has now evolved into a globally recognized breeding company with a solid international network in seed sourcing, production and distribution. Milestones include: the move to and expansion of its ’s-Gravenzande location where breeding activities are now centralised and tropical young plant production takes place; the acquisition of Enviro, with which Evanthia has strengthened its position as a breeder of cut flowers from seed considerably; and the reinforcement of the management, organisation and commercial department in recent years.
Director / owner, Nico Grootendorst, expresses his enthusiasm about the anniversary and explains the company’s success in his own down-to-earth way: “When you do what you say and say what you do, people can always count on you. We look forward to the next decade with excitement and anticipation, as we continue to grow intenationally and focus on long-term partnership throughout the floriculture supply chain.”
To celebrate this 10-year jubilee, Evanthia has planned a series of client visits with cakes and coffee, and a festive evening for over 90 employees. The company is grateful to its customers, partners, and employees who have been a part of this remarkable journey and looks forward to an even more promising future.
