Araucaria excelsa

Araucaria excelsa is a subtropical evergreen tree with a symmetrical, pyramidal plant structure. Araucaria excelsa is native to Norfolk Island in the South Pacific, where it grows along the coast and in rainforests. In comparison with the more familiar Araucaria heterophylla, A. excelsa tends to grow a bit quicker with branches a bit more pending. This small-sized species is very suitable as an indoor plant. In the summer months Araucaria can also be placed outside. Araucaria excelsa is also known as House Pine. Other internationally used names for Araucaria excelsa are Araucaria élevée; Schmucktanne; Zimmertanne; Christmas tree plant; Kamerden. Evanthia has Araucaria excelsa seeds and seedlings available periodically for commercial production. Araucaria excelsa seeds are usually available in August. Seedlings in trays are usually ready around November or December. Ask our team for the Araucaria excelsa cultivation guide for commercial production. Average number of Araucaria excelsa seeds per kilo: 1,300.
