Cordyline Burgundy Spire

Cordyline Burgundy Spire is a frost-tender, evergreen palm-like tree. It has a vigorous habit and forms an upright trunk over time. This decorative, subtropical beauty is crowned by dense clusters of dark reddish/bronze, sword-like leaves. The leaves are narrow and arching and have a tough, leathery texture. Cordyline is native to subtropical parts of New Zealand, where it grows in coastal areas, forest edges and high mountain forests, along river shores and swamps. Burgundy Spire can handle drought and cold circumstances pretty well. It’s great for patio containers as well as for landscaping. Cordyline is commonly known as Cabbage Palm or Cabbage Tree. Other internationally used common names for Cordyline are: Giant Dracaena; Giant Dracena; Grass Palm; New Zealand Cabbage Tree; Koolboom; Koolplant; Palm Lily; tī kōuka. Evanthia has Cordyline Burgundy Spire starting material available all year round, as tissue culture young plants. Ask our team for the Cordyline cultivation manual for commercial production. Check out all Cordylines, trunk-forming or clump-forming, in the Evanthia range.
