Cordyline Festival Burgundy
Cordyline Festival Burgundy is a frost-tender, evergreen shrub, with an upright, clump-forming habit. This decorative, subtropical beauty is low-growing and forms multiple growing points. The sword-like leaves are narrow and arching and have a tough, leathery texture. They form dense clusters and have a remarkable bright burgundy/red colour. Cordyline is native to subtropical parts of New Zealand, where it grows in coastal areas, forest edges and high mountain forests, along river shores and swamps. It can handle drought and cold circumstances pretty well. It’s a great architectural shrub for patio containers as well as for landscaping. Cordyline is commonly known as Cabbage Palm or Cabbage Tree. Other internationally used common names for Cordyline are: Giant Dracaena; Giant Dracena; Grass Palm; New Zealand Cabbage Tree; Koolboom; Koolplant; Palm Lily; tī kōuka. Evanthia has Cordyline Festival Burgundy starting material available all year round, as tissue culture young plants. Ask our team for the Cordyline cultivation manual for commercial production.
