Matthiola StoX® is Evanthia's brand new Matthiola series and a real breakthrough in Matthiola breeding. This series provides the solution to a challenge faced by breeders, young plant breeders and Matthiola growers. Selection of double-flowered plants at the seedling stage is one of the main goals of our breeding programme. We have succeeded in developing a robust series of Matthiolas with woody stems that are easy to select for double flowers after cold treatment, resulting in an excellent series with 100% double flowers with an outstanding vase life. With this new series we truly combine the best of both worlds: the robust and durable characteristics of Japanese types and the selectability of European types. Check out the lively colour spectrum, with various interesting, unique shades.
