P. selloum is native to South America, where it grows as a perennial in tropical rainforests. It is a non-climbing Philodendron and can grow to colossal proportions. As a houseplant, this Philodendron easily fills an empty space with its tropical appearance. Furthermore, it is an excellent air purifier.
