Finance Controller (medior)

What will you do?

For Evanthia Flowers, we are looking for a Finance Controller who will be responsible for both a solid financial foundation and for further strengthening the control function.

In this role, you will be responsible for the financial administration of Evanthia Flowers and ensure timely, accurate, and complete financial reports. You will work closely with the Finance Controller of the Tropical division and act as a full-fledged substitute in their absence, including coordination with external parties such as our accountant and financier. You will report to Evanthia's CFO.

You combine in-depth administrative knowledge with analytical insight and actively contribute to the further professionalization of processes, reporting, and internal control.

‍Your responsibilities include:

• Responsible for accurate, complete, and auditable financial administration
• Coordinating and performing month-end and year-end closings
• Preparing management reports, analyses, and KPI overviews
• Monitoring the quality and consistency of financial data
• Identifying financial risks, discrepancies, and trends
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and liquidity management
• Point of contact for the auditor and other external stakeholders
• Improving and standardizing processes, systems, and internal controls
• Act as a sparring partner for the business and management
• Deputize for the Finance Controller Tropical during absence

Your profile

You have a solid financial foundation and several years of work experience. You are analytically strong, work accurately, and have a good understanding of financial processes and internal controls. With your proactive attitude, ownership, and strong communication skills, you will fit well into our entrepreneurial, hands-on organization.

You also have

• HBO/WO level of education and professional experience (Finance, Business Economics, or Accountancy)
• 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in accounting and/or controlling
• Experience with closing processes, reporting, and analyses
• Knowledge of internal controls and financial processes
• Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail
• A proactive attitude, ownership, and the ability to independently structure work
• Good communication skills and stakeholder management
