In short

Ruscus has a high decorative value, especially in autumn and winter. Female plants can form bright red berries, which makes the branches particularly suitable for seasonal and Christmas arrangements.
The plant is robust, easy to maintain and grows well under various conditions.
Ruscus aculeatus tolerates both sunny and shady locations and is hardy (up to around -20 °C), making it suitable for cultivation in the open field.
