Impact tests: sharing knowledge, seeing differences, thinking ahead
Evanthia shows strong selections in Matthiola and Antirrhinum and connects peers around innovation and market potential

In het kort
The crops were located at the G. van den Beukel nursery in Monster Antirrhinum and Matthiola in June, back in the spotlight at Evanthia's annual flowering trials. The setup attracted visitors from home and abroad and provided plenty of space for professional discussions, practical insights and exploring new market opportunities.
Unique view of the complete range of snapdragons
What makes these flowering trials extra special is the design of the Antirrhinum trial. Thanks to a sophisticated seeding and cultivation strategy, all group divisions — from group I to group V — flourish just about simultaneously. This provides a unique comprehensive overview of the entire range, including the robust Toulon IV-V series. This series, specially developed for growing in warm conditions, will be expanded with five new, intense colors in January 2026 — including the elegant (currently Exp.) Toulon Apricot and the intensely coloured Toulon Deep Red, Deep Rose and Deep Purple — which impress with quality and length even under high temperatures and light intensity.
Matthiola: StoX® and Milla as eye-catchers
Within the Matthiola segment, Evanthia presented the entire color palette in 5 series, including the innovative StoX® series and the versatile Milla line. Visitors also got a preview of four new colors — three within StoX®, one within Milla — which will be available for trial purposes on a limited basis from January 2026. The commercial launch is expected in 2027.
