Hypoestes phyllostachya Coloratus® White
Hypoestes phyllostachya Coloratus® White is a fun, tropical foliage plant, with a neat and compact habit and a very playful look. It has heart-shaped leaves, with colourful dark green and bright white speckles and blotches. Hypoestes phyllostachya is native to tropical Madagascar, where it grows as an herbaceous perennial in shaded areas where it can form dense carpets of vegetation in the understorey layers of woodlands and rainforests. Hypoestes makes for a fun evergreen houseplant, with a nice mix of all colours in a windowsill, for example. As an annual it’s great for patio pots and garden beds too. Hypoestes phyllostachya is commonly known as Polka dot plant. Other internationally used common names for Hypoestes phyllostachya are: Baby’s Tears, Flamingo plant, Freckle Face, Measles plant. Evanthia has Hypoestes phyllostachya Coloratus® White starting material available all year round, as seed and young plants from seed.
