Evanthia strengthens growth foundation by splitting into two specialized companies
Evanthia, the Dutch specialist in breeding, production and sales of floriculture crops, is taking an important step in its further growth and professionalization. In het kort
This step marks a new phase in Evanthia's strategic growth. In recent years, the organization has developed into a versatile player with a broad portfolio of cut flowers, flowering pot plants and tropical plants. With customers in more than 60 countries and a continuous expansion of the product range, this growth requires more focus, efficiency and market-oriented control.
“The activities within Flowers and Tropical each have their own dynamics, customer approach and logistical chain. By positioning both divisions independently, we create space for further specialization, acceleration and customer focus,” says Henk Jacobs, CEO of Evanthia.
Two companies, one vision
The current Evanthia B.V. will continue under the name Evanthia Tropical B.V., with a focus on the sourcing, production and delivery of tropical plants and seeds.
The activities of the Flowers division, focused on breeding cut flowers and flowering pot plants from seeds, are housed in the new company Evanthia Flowers B.V.
Both companies will continue to work together under the shared vision:
“Together, we lay the foundation, from seed to success.”
Targeted growth and innovation
With this structural reinforcement, Evanthia is preparing for the next growth phase. Both Flowers and Tropical will have the space to further develop within their own market — with a focused commercial focus, international expansion and continuous investment in innovation, breeding and sourcing.
“Our organization is growing in size, but also in maturity. This step allows us to serve our customers even better, switch faster and further strengthen the unique value of our brands,” says the management.
Both companies will present themselves together at the upcoming trade shows:
IPM Essen 2026 (DE) — January 27 to 30
IPM Beijing 2026 (CH) — April 10 to 12, 2026
Flower Trials Westland 2026 (NL) — June 9 to 12
